On seeing our first sheep shorn in 2016, I was drawn to the fleece which is a beautiful, natural and sometimes undervalued product. I learned how to sort, skirt, roll, wash, card and weave the raw fleeces.
All our fleeces are processed by hand, using simple soaps and water to cleanse the fleeces, and sorting, carding and weaving are all done by hand on the croft. Spinning is outsourced to UK based, artisan hand-spinners who produce our yarns.
