A black and white photograph of willow sticks.

Goat willow is grown on our coppice and we have many mature willow trees in the hedgerows and windbreaks.

Tree Hay is a fodder crop for sheep and other ruminants, harvested in full leaf, dried in the summer sun and stored for feeding through the winter months. the sheep really enjoy eating willow as it contains nutrients they crave and also contains a natural pain relief in the form salicylic acid (compound used in aspirin).
